Diallo finally completed his move from Italian club Atalanta on Thursday evening, with an agreement already been reached between both clubs on deadline day of last summer transfer window in October.
The Ivory Coast star signed for an initial fee of £18million with additional add-ons, signing a deal until June 2025. The 18-year old winger joined Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side having made his name known as a talented winger in Italy.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Man United have now confirmed that Diallo will wear the No.19 shirt which was previously worn by Marcus Rashford, Danny Welbeck and Dwight Yorke among other names in the club.
Players to have worn the number at Old Trafford includes James Wilson, Ronny Johnson, Edwin van der Sar and Gerard Pique.
The young winger will also have his first name “Amad” on the back, having legally changed his surname from Traore to ‘Diallo’ last year.
